LISA THOMPSON

DATSUN 1600 PRC RALLY CAR

Lisa started rallying this car in1997 in the Benarkin forest rally starting 50th in a 53 car field and finished 25th outright and 1st in class beating 15 cars in her class. The car attracted a lot of attention with its outstanding performance and preparation.

Since then Lisa has produced outstanding results such as high as 4th outright against 4WD cars with this little 1600cc 2WD car.

Unfortunately while enjoying the privilege of being the first female to be zero car at a QRC, the car was extensively damaged.

A new car has been built and will be ready to run the 1999/2000 season and we look forward to more wins.

Engine Spec

:- Datsun L16 block bored 020" destroked to give a capacity of 1594cc

Crankshaft was polished and heat treated , rods were polished and shotpeened,

Pistons were Hypereutectic flat top, Steel flywheel,

RACE MASTER cylinder head with stainless JHH valves, crane springs, 2 x 45 mm DCOE Webers, Custom Extractors and a Ivan Tighe cam with JHH Vernier Cam gear.
