This car ran 62.8 sec to set a new lap record for 1600cc club cars Unbeaten for the class from his first race as a provisional driver to when the car finished racing and consistently finishing in the top 10 outright.

This shows what a designed total package race car can do with a good driver.

    ENGINE Spec :- L16 Block bored .020", Destroked to give 1598cc, Polished L16 crankshaft, Polished and shotpeened L16 rods, RACE MASTER cylinder head with 44mm Intake Valves 35mm Exhaust Valves both in 214N stainless, Iski Valve springs, Twin 45mm DCOE Webers, 340deg duration camshaft with .410"lift, Flat top Pistons setting the compression ratio at 11:1.

    The engine was designed to have horsepower from 5000 to 9500rpm and made over 200hp. Many times the engine saw 10500rpm on downshifts.

    The engine was sold after 2 years of racing, detuned and ran on the street without the sump ever having been removed
